PRODUCT RECALL: RGA5 UPDATE 17th June 2021

In our previous communication on 4th June 2021, we detailed that we have found some blocks to have cracked brake discs.

After further testing and analysis we have not been able to satisfactorily resolve this problem and we have decided they should be removed from service.

We reiterate that no accidents have been reported and no other model of RIDGEGEAR fall arrest blocks are affected.

Next Step

Can you please remove any RGA5 you have from service, and when you have them, please email RIDGEGEAR Quality Manager, Kenny Tunnicliffe, at kennytunnicliffe@marling.co.uk.

 

PRODUCT RECALL: RGA5 4th June 2021

As a precautionary measure RIDGEGEAR is recalling RGA5 fall arrest block.

Context

We have found some blocks to have cracked brake discs.

No accidents have been reported (4th June 2021), but as a precaution we are doing a voluntary recall on all blocks in service.

No other model of RIDGEGEAR fall arrest blocks are affected.
